Chris has worked as a builder in the green construction industry for more than a decade.  He lives with his wife and son in Ayton Ontario where they actively manage a 28 acre hardwood forest and grow crops for their own needs. Their home includes Straw bale walls, Stray clay walls, earthen floors, living roof, composting toilet, grey water planter beds, and other environmentally sensitive products/ systems.

After starting his working life as a tool and die craftsman Chris developed a keen interest in woodworking through the years. He has been involved in building for all of his adult life and after the purchase of his family’s property in Grey County; it was a natural progression to create works from the wood in their forest. Chris built his Straw bale workshop- AKA- Bio Construction Studio in 2011 and has been crafting wood works there ever since.
